How to Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your GoalPosition account and all of its data at any time, right from within the app:
- 1 Open your Profile.
Tap your avatar icon in the top-right corner of the My Lists or Competitions screen.
- 2 Scroll to "Danger Zone."
At the bottom of the Profile screen, find the Danger Zone section.
- 3 Tap "Delete Account."
Confirm your choice in the dialog that appears — this warns you that your account, lists, tasks, and competition history will be permanently deleted.
- 4 Verify it's you.
If your account has an email address attached, we'll send a 6-digit verification code to that address. Enter the code in the app to confirm.
- 5 Done.
Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately. There is no waiting period.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your profile, including your display name and avatar image
- All of your task lists and tasks
- Your competition history and competition participation records
- Your login credentials and authentication record
What's Retained
Deleted data may briefly persist in encrypted database backups for up to 30 days before being permanently purged, in line with our standard backup retention schedule described in our Privacy Policy. It is not accessible through the app or to other users during this period.
If you were part of an active competition, other participants may retain a record that a competition took place, but your account and its content will no longer be accessible.
Can't Access the App?
If you no longer have access to the app or your device, you can request account deletion by emailing us using the address associated with your account. We'll verify your identity and process the deletion manually.
